attributes and characteristics 를 어떻게 번역하고 이해 해야 할까? 

속성과 특성?

ISO 26262-8:2011의 

6.4.2 Attributes and characteristics of safety requirements 에 보면 safety requirements의 characteristics는 이러이러 해야 하고 attributes는 이러이러 해야한다고 나오는데

characteristics는 unambiguous and comprehensible, atomic, internally consistent, feasible, verifiable... 로 나누어 지고

attributes는 a unique identification remaining unchanged.... status, ASIL로 나뉘어 진다.

그래서 미루어 짐작해보면.. ISO 26262의 requirements 관련한 표현에서

characteristics는 요구사항 그 자체가 가져야하는 고유의 속성이며, attributes는 안전 요구사항이라고 누군가에게 보여주고 인정 받으려면 보여 줘야하는 겉 모습이라 할수 있다.

결국 characteristics는 내적 속성이고 attributes는 외적 속성이라고 할수 있을 것이다.

ISO 26262외의 표준 또는 욕구사항 관련 서적들에는 Characteristics 관련된 모든 사항들을 기술해 두는 것이 일반적이다.
